Mat The Alien is a skilled turntablist whose talent is out of this world. Spanning across multiple genres, tempos, and styles, Mat has a keen ear for bass -heavy beats.

 

Mixing since the age of 14, he was influenced by warehouse raves in 1988 and by his dad's record shop, Vibe Records, located in the UK and established in 1978. Eventually, moving to Whistler, B.C. in 1995, his influences shifted with a new flavor of merging genres.

 

Really Good Recordings is a label established by Mat, supporting underground Canadian bass music from both upcoming and established musicians. Mat The Alien and The Librarian also host a bi-weekly radio show on www.sub.fm.
